Introduction to 3rd year

Hello!

My name is Oana and this is my blog that is solely dedicated to my 3rd year project. I will be posting my research, developments and reflections related to my project on here, as well as my course related activities attended throughout the year in order to create a journal-like website that I can look back to in the future.
The theme that I have chosen for this year long project is Ancient Egypt.

Here's the Statement of Intent that we were asked to fill out:

2. It is an examination of the Ancient Egyptians and the gods they were worshipping
3. All ages (specific ages as the project develops)

Project Brief:

1. Discovering Egypt (title to change as the project develops)
2. A deeper look into the life of Egyptians and the animals they were worshipping
3. Get a detailed knowledge of how Ancient Egyptians lived their life and how they prepared for afterlife
4. Research all the aspects of the Egyptian lifestyle and the history of Ancient Egypt
5. I plan on exploring all aspects of Ancient Egypt and eventually finding a focus point that I can further develop. I don't plan on posing a question within my illustrations but I will definitely attempt contrasting the Egyptian civilization with other contemporary ones in hope to find interesting similarities. I am particularly fascinated by the Ancient Egyptian gods and the overall aspect of religion/worshiping. The content of my project includes: overall history, dynasties, pharaohs, pyramids, architecture, religion, mummification, afterlife, gods, daily life, music, art, sculpture, entertainment, food, farming, writing, education, medicine, and many many more.
6. I'm planning on exploring a number of different mediums such as: digital & traditional art, sculpture, watercolor, acrylic, paper art, lino cutting, etc.
